Our cooking class, led by the passionate and knowledgeable Chef Troc, will take you on an unforgettable culinary journey. Chef Troc boasts over 18 years of culinary experience, having honed his skills not only in Vietnam but also as a chef for more than 7 years for Royal Caribbean Cruise ships , World Dreams Cruise ships and Star Cruises ships . Fluent in English, Mandarin, and basic Korean, Chef Troc extensive travels throughout the Asia Pacific region as a professional chef have uniquely positioned him to guide our participants through the class with ease and provide them with an exceptional experience.

    The BEST !
    We did a private cooking class with our family or 4 and it was easily the BEST experience of our trip to Vietnam. Troc and his crew are incredibly talented, and taught us how to make springs rolls, chicken pho, caramelized pork and fish, sticky mango rice, Vietnamese noodle salad, and mango sticky rice (along with homemade dipping sauces). He also sent us all of the recipes afterwards. They speak English perfectly and are incredibly friendly, and it was fun to talk to them and learn more about the Vietnamese food and culture. Troc was also very accommodating in dealing with our dietary restrictions (with one person who didn’t eat meat and one person who didn’t eat fish). We all got plenty of food and learned many skills that we will try again at home. Thank you Troc

    An excellent morning of cookery
    We did the Saturday cooking class with Troc. We were lucky enough to end up having the lesson just for our family, which allowed lots of time for questions and practice. We had a great time making Pho, spring rolls, Ban Xeo and banana sticky rice. Troc speaks excellent English and puts food hygiene at the front and centre of his class, I had no concerns about the freshness of the ingredients, which was great. Troc doesn’t like his food to be greasy, and we all really appreciated the extra time he took to make sure anything using oil ended up crispy rather than oily and soggy. Troc was very knowledgeable and encouraged my children (10 and 12) to get involved in the prep and cooking. We all had a great morning and really enjoyed the food we created. I would definitely recommend Troc’s cookery class.

    Troctastic!
    We came here to immerse ourselves in a cultural culinary journey and picked Troc out of others because of his solid chef background, we are all vegan chefs ourselves and found this class to be very easy to follow, troc made us feel really welcome and honestly the food he produced with us was stunning. The set up was of the highest standards which was definitely down to his background in working in some of the top kitchens over his cheffing career. Troc was witty and at the same time taught us about Vietnamese traditions. His team were very efficient and helpful and we cannot wait to come back next year, we are making a special trip to Phu Quoc to come and cook with Troc again! We felt the effort, the freshest of ingredients and Chef Troc’s humour and humility and quality of his class was extraordinary value for money. We had the best time and was one of the highlights to our trip to Vietnam!

    The most meaningful, satisfying and enjoyable activity in Phu Quoc! Homemade Vietnamese food that you can’t eat at regular restaurants!!! You can try making it. If you have time, be sure to make a reservation for a time when fried banana cake is on the menu! I really hate bananas, but these tasted amazingly like fried glutinous rice donuts, so I ate them all haha. And be sure to go hungry. If you eat it all, you’ll be really, really full. (If you can’t eat it all, you can take it with you, but if you do, you have to eat it all by dinner that day! The expiration date is short. I recommend just eating it all there and then coming back.) The chef studied Korean hard so it’s easy to understand! This is a skill you train every day with Duolingo. But it’s better if you’re good at English. Fun. The chef is kind and funny. Best experience in Phú Quốc. Highly recommend for your family trip, I had never seen my parents laugh this much during this trip. (They hardly smile, usually) Chef is very fluent in english and mandarin.
